THE LAST OF PROVERBS
Matters concerning God are sacred and divine. Those matters have their place in our lives and we should really respect them. I know that even atheists exclaim "Oh my God" during flight. It is a natural concept in all human beings.
I have to rightly state that we are all sinners, according to the book of Romans. But, we have to notice the blessings we have ... that though we be chief of sinners, Jesus still shed His blood for us. He made us new, clean and forgiven. He gave us a divine opportunity that we could not have gotten. I know that satan works to destroy us by making us indulge in sin. That is his major purpose on earth. We can put it right again.
God knows what we do and how we do what we do. We can never cheat an all seeing God. Personally, I have acted recklessly in my life and I know that God was not happy with what I was doing. I am so sorry. May the Lord forgive me. Still, in want to encourage all my friends, family members and everybody in this world that we have one in heaven who is interceding for us. Let us not hesitate to state our failures, problems and misfortunes, for he will help us when we do.
I remember one time, back in high school when I had been chosen to go and do my orals in a place I was well known and I really feared. I saw myself in darkness. I was sad for a couple of days. Thewn, I chose to tell God. He listened to me.
I sang a song in an hymnal whenever I needed something and it was done.
I was loved.
God loved me.
He saved me.
Now, I appeal to that kind of life again, not for just me but for everybody else.
God of creation, please take us back.
In Jesus name. Amen.

THE SECRET OF ENJOYING A WEEKEND
I am personally happy to have made it to this weekend. Basically, being in third year, our class timetable is busier than the rest of the students in Campus at the moment. Thus, the pressure is released on the weekend.
My fellow comrades are generally outgoing. They think highly of our weekends. It is almost a basic want in this place. A keen look into what happens during weekends can result into truths that are scary. For most first years, this is where I feel that parental guidance is very necessary.
The hundreds of cigarettes that are smoked here can be responsible for the uprising cases of cancer among the students. We can not fail to mention the numerous health complications that result from consumption of alcohol at stage.
Well, there is the issue of sexual activities that are at the peak during such times. With the many dangers of sex related maladies, you can only imagine the extent to which comrades are killing themselves.
It is like the devil himself came and pitched camp here threatening to enslave everybody and that he will not leave until he has achieved that.
Comrades, I present the best way to spend the weekend...let us all go to church and praise the Lord.
We owe our lives to the Lord and He is the only one who has been guiding us all this while.
I only hope that we will all find a place in our hearts this weekend for the savior.
Otherwise, there is no bigger secret of enjoying a weekend if not with God.

THE TIME IS ALMOST NOW
Exams are almost with us now, comrades. The work load has really increased. am talking about CATS, Assignments and the seatings. Well, if you ask me, i would say that this is where education gets bad. This is one of the worst periods of Campus life, yet, what should we do.
I only hope that the several B grades will be changed into A grades this semester. Even before comrades start their exams, i want to wish them the best of luck.

THE PERFECT WAY TO ENJOY THIS WEEKEND
Well, i will not assume this weekend. It is not just me, but even my friends. We have had a very tedious week, full of assessment examinations and several assignments. It was hectic. We are happy to have this weekend coming forth, because it will be our time to relax and i am sure approximately 90% of us will go out.
I want to suggest a few things for comrades. This is one of my schemes of wanting to see everybody safe.
I advice on ten things.
# go to church
#visit falls
#boat ride in Kesses
# go to Poa place for swimming
#choose juice instead of booze
#visit friends
#watch football
#talk a tour far from school
#attend Rhumba night
#watch movies

THREE POINTER RULES FOR FRESHMEN
Majority of the candidates from secondary schools have passed and soon they will be joining different Campus. It could be a great injustice if i do not mention some of the basic advices that are responsible for the success of many from these institutions.
Campus life has destroyed many people's lives, yet some have successfully completed their studies here. It is simple; follow the three rules!
2. Attend all the classes
That the main purpose of us being in school is to study and therefore anyone avoiding such a responsibility is in the wrong place. Well, there is a lot of fun and all the happiness of being in University and wanting to fit in a age group. I know all that, and i have lived here long enough to see that by the advancement of our years, that matters no more. Everybody with his or her life.
3.Rule number 3, never do business with a stranger
This is a common euphemism for, mind your own money and use it carefully. With the thousands that the government gives us, some of us,get lost. Please, bear in mind that money changes people, quicker in Campus than normal.
congratulations for passing your exams.
welcome to Moi University

HAS JUSTICE BEEN DONE?
Her life on earth must come to an end tomorrow Saturday, the 28th February 2015. Some will call it fate, others destiny but, who really knew that one comrade would leave on this day. I imagine the great pain of her family members, her friends and all the students of Moi University. I imagine the tears of sadness that will strike our hearts as they lower her body down to earth and say rest in peace dear Charity Muthoni Maina.
As we follow all these events, the main question in my mind is; where is justice? Whoever was involved in this has not been revealed yet or any significant efforts made to identify him, her or them. Even when the police themselves came and took her away with a seeming great desire to find the culprit or culprits.
I do not want to blame anybody concerning this issue but, i strongly believe that in the interest of respect for life, it is very prudent to identify whoever was involved. I do not want to mention the fact that the same risk might still be there because no body has been called to accountability.
Does it mean that there are no consequences to acts of rape and murder? That, anybody can be raped and killed and life continues. This is not the kind of life we want! It not only degrades life but also the University.
Let us consider the facts right, life is precious. no body has a right to take the life of anyone even in Campus.
This leads us to yet other important questions; who should be responsible for the security of students in Moi University? What has he or she done concerning the death of Charity?
I only hope that her death will be investigated. She deserves justice. But, if she will not find it on earth, then i beg her dear soul to rest and leave it for God.
To her family, i send my deepest condolences.
Worry not for God knows.
Have faith.
May the Lord bless us all.
AMEN

THE EPICENTER OF TRUTH
The world is corrupted by satanism; Moi University is not an exceptional. It seems that satan has pitched camp here. He wants to devour us all. What else explains the recent occurrences in this place?
The world is corrupted by satanism; Moi University is not an exceptional. It seems that satan has pitched camp here. He wants to devour us all. What else explains the recent occurrences in this place?
It is inarguable, that fact that Charity Muthoni Maina died. She was
raped before killed, I am not sure. Whoever was involved is not doubt an agent
of satan.
That this same satan made a student kill himself at falls. That, he
wants students to riot daily by tampering with the electricity of this place. That,
we will not enjoy peace at stage, because he has tricked some students into
drinking and smoking at stage.Well, some of them are extremely cruelly.
As much as it has been seeming that satan has been winning, God has always had a plan for us. He speaks through Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then, you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."
Jesus Christ has given us great hope in prayer. Matthew 7:7-12 "Ask and it will be given to you;seek and you will find;knock and the door will be opened to you..." He request Moi University to believe in Him and all will be set free from the captures of satan.
Every Saturday, in Lecture hall 3, a group of Christians; Moi University Seventh Day Adventists meet to worship God. I am convicted that, change will will only occur for the better when people decide to worship God in truth.
Take this step, come to church and let us worship our true God.
May the Lord bless us all.
May the Lord bless Moi University.
In Jesus name,
AMEN

THE VICE CHANCELLOR'S FINALITY
The Vice Chancellor of Moi University, professor Mibey, called for a meeting with the students at the administration square. This was to address the issue of demonstration of Sunday, 22nd February 2014 that resulted from the rape and murder of Charity Muthoni Maina. She was a third year student at the school of arts.
Students started demonstrating after the news of her death spread. This led to the intervention of the police, though, they left after their vehicle got burnt by angry students. This necessitated the Vice Chancellor to speak to the students in the quest to maintain peace.
He started at around 10 am by expressing his apologies to the family, friends and all the students for the death of Charity. He promised that all the funeral arrangements would be handled by the University.
Professor Mibey said that, in order to ensure the security of all the ladies, new rooms would be set aside and that they would be relocated before Friday of this month. "We will request the police service to give us a post within the University." he said . He dwelt on the issue of electricity for long explaining the measures that would be taken. Street lights would be installed at stage especially to cover darker places. The University's security department would be mandated to have regular inspection at night. He said that this would improve the security of most parts within the University esecially those that are further away.
He informed the students that the University was aware of their challenges and that they would be solved before the end of this month. "We are aware of the challenges you are facing, please give us till the end of this month and we will ensure that they are solved"
Professor Mibey ended the meeting at around 10:30 leaving the chairperson of Moi University students association, Omondi, to disperse students from the administration square.
The students left for stage in large numbers chanting angrily,"comrades power!"

THE LAST STAND
I call upon all able minded comrades; who shall be able to stand in this time of great need. A need to be the voice of all the other students in Moi university even amidst a lot of fears of suspension and expulsion.
Who has a voice higher than the rest of us,cowards. Who among us shall say enough is enough to all the problems of the humble comrade. Such times as this i beg anyone to come up and help us.
I am pronouncing the last stand for one of us. One whose name we shall never forget

The janitor of C houses has not been able to fully convince any higher authority concerning the need for electricity in that place. We are just left to wonder why nobody seems to be interested in the affairs of the students.
It is not necessary to explain the importance of electricity in the students' hostels to the responsible authority, because being a higher learning institution; it means education is being neglected in this place. Students can not be able to carry out their studies in their rooms especially during the night or early in the morning.
The residents of C houses carried out a peaceful demonstration yesterday, the 17th February, in the quest to get attention. I only doubt if anything will be done in the near future. With the many problems of crowding in hostels, inadequate mattresses and other facilities, life is now more difficult.
I pity my fellow comrades. I pity those who lack electricity in their rooms. I pity those who have had to suffer because of inadequate mattresses.
I hope that the janitor will carry out her role of ensuring that the students in C houses have electricity, not only during the day but also during the night.
